new 3TB wireless backup disk (AirPort Time Capsule)

When it comes to technology, our Don who lives in picturesque Quincy near beautiful Boston is into everything latest. He demands everything the latest and the most advanced, in other words, bleeding edge technology.

802.11ac is the next technology replacing 802.11n, currently in draft standard. Back in June, Apple released new AirPort Extreme and new Time Capsule featuring 802.11ac Wi-Fi simultaneous dual-band with data rates up to 1.3 Gbps. Unlike our Don who would rush to get everything the latest, I only just got myself a device capable of 802.11ac.

AirPort Time Capsule 3TB

I got my first Time Capsule back in April, 2008. Back then, the operating system was Mac OS X Leopard v.10.5. And the Time Capsule was the perfect wireless solution for Time Machine. It worked very well, however, the size was only 1TB. It's about time to upgrade the size of it. On top of that, the new faster wireless technology is also very sounding.

The contents of AirPort Time Capsule:

Since our Don is into everything the latest, this device featuring next technology should have our Don's approval.

Unfortunately, the poor Antony does not have have devices capable of running 802.11ac.

I have no idea what this all means!
I fear it is just another Apple "must have".
