one more Extreme joining the network

Well, knowing that more and more portable devices will connected in this house, it is important to prepare the best wireless network for the upcoming situation. This is learned from our good friend Don.

Here's the latest device for network improvement (still in box shot):
AirPort Extreme (5th Generation) in box

As a matter of fact, Don also demands the most powerful and newest device (when possible). So I decided to get the current model (5th generation) of Apple's AirPort Extreme. Benefit of 5th generation (over 4th generation)? No major new features, but stronger network. Apart from that, I don't think I need to introduce the AirPort Extreme Base Station.

Please note keyword - "refurbished." Yes, it is a refurbished model. Translate, it is used, tested and certified.

AirPort Extreme (5th Generation) in box

I guess Don might be interested in exactly how many routers I have here. In short: not many.
Dual band

    Anyhow, here's the list:
  • 1 x Time Capsule (2TB, 2nd generation) I sold the 1TB Time Capsule to Jessica
  • 4 x AirPort Extreme Base Station (gigabit ethernet model, 2nd generation) (simultaneous dual band model, 3rd generation) (simultaneous dual band II model, 4th generation) (5th generation)
  • 1 x AirPort Express Base Station (802.11n (1st Generation))

And I am glad to say that all those base stations are capable of gigabit ethernet connection as well as 802.11n Wi-Fi networking.

(to Don: Antony is poor.)

I saw the ugly word "China" on that box! We are not fooled by the allusion to Cupertino CA!
