With So Little to Be Sure Of, Housewives

Desperate Housewives

Two weeks ago on Wisteria Lane: Andrew van de Kamp was back. He surprised Bree that he wanted to get married (to a woman which shocked Bree). Obviously that marriage was for money, and Bree sensed that. Bree also learned that Andrew was in deep financial trouble but Andrew didn't want to go running back to his mother. Andrew accept Bree's offer to say at home until he gets back on his feet.

The detectives now think Bree is the main suspect of the murder.

Julie was shocked to see the way Susan treat MJ.

Carlos has resigned from his top-paying job, and Gaby decided to get a job. Except Gaby was not qualified. After a shopping spree, Gaby got a job from the high-class retailer as a special shop assistant which also entitles her 40% discount.

Tonight on Desperate Housewives (season 8 episode 19: With So Little to Be Sure Of)

Susan discovers that Mike has been hiding a secret from her for years. Bree attempts to hire a high-powered attorney when she becomes the prime suspect in the murder of Gaby's stepfather.

The exciting Desperate Housewives starts at 10pm tonight (most likely at 10.08pm) on Seven tonight after Grey's Anatomy.

Last week on Desperate Housewives (season 8 episode 18: Any Moment):

Renee is more than ready for Ben to propose to her, so he kinda pops the question. The proposal is interrupted when the cops show up. They want to question Ben about a body that's been dug up at his construction site. Fear not, Renee is able to snag her engagement ring before her new fiancé heads down to the police station.

Ben is assured by the police that he's in the clear regarding the body. The man was killed long before he started construction. Renee tells Bree that the cops believe they found the corpse of a drifter. That's not true at all. They are simply trying to build a case against Bree. That case gets a little bit stronger once they tap into a call she makes to Ben in which she pretty much confesses to burying a body. Uh oh.

Lynette has decided to try to get Tom back. The only problem is that Jane watches him like a hawk. Lynette needs to get him alone. She conspires with Penny, who tricks Jane into taking her to a Taylor Swift concert. This allows Lynette the opportunity to trick Tom into a candlelit dinner. She pretended that the power was out.

Lynette and Tom reminisce about old times over dinner. These two had a lot good memories together. Things are going really well until Tom accidentally sets his shirt sleeve on fire by leaning too close to one of the candles. A panicked Lynette flips on the lights. This lets Tom know that she tricked him about the electricity being down. Needless to say, he's not happy.

Penny encourages her mom to not give up the fight. What neither of them knows is that it's a battle that Lynette may actually be winning. Tom turns down Jane's offer for sex later that night. He claims he has some work to do, but we're thinking that's probably not the real reason he's not in the mood.

Julie is shocked to see her mom letting MJ eat whatever he wants and stay up all hours of the night playing video games. She believes her son is traumatized, but Julie thinks MJ is taking advantage of her. Things get worse when MJ throws a stapler at his teacher's head. Susan also has a somewhat destructive meltdown as she deals with the situation at the school.

The incident at the school snaps Susan back to reality. She has a heart-to-heart chat with MJ. They are both very angry about what happened to Mike. That's why they feel a little better once they start heaving condolence jars of jam at the garage wall. Then they break down in each other's arms. It's a heartbreaking scene.

Now that Carlos has resigned from his top-paying job, Gaby decides to enter the workforce so they can keep living comfortably. Unfortunately, there's not a lot of call for people with her limited job experience. This sends a depressed Gaby off to do the one thing that always lifts her spirits. Yes, she does some shopping. Actually, she does lots and lots of shopping.

After a reality check chat with Carlos, Gaby returns all of her new clothes. She's surprised when the store manager offers her a job. He was so amazed by her shopping skills that he wants her to guide other customers as to how to spend their money. Gaby takes the job moments after learning that employees get a 40% discount.

Andrew comes home to announce that he's met someone. Bree can't wait to meet the new man in her son's life. She's shocked to see that Andrew's new man is actually a lovely young woman named Mary Beth. She's a now-thin member of Overeaters Anonymous.

When Bree learns that Mary Beth is a frozen custard heiress, she questions Andrew's motives for marrying this lady. So, she throws him an engagement party that's filled with all of his old friends. As it turns out, Mary Beth knows that Andrew is gay, but thinks she has no choice but to settle. Bree convinces her that's not fair to her or Andrew. A short time later, the wedding is off.

Bree later learns that Andrew is in deep financial trouble, but he didn't want to go running back to his mother. He's done that too many times in the past. Bree lets him know there's nothing wrong with asking for help. That's why Andrew accepts her offer to move back home until he gets back on his feet.
