bye bye 2011

Well, 2011 did not start nice. Flooding and cyclone here in Australia, earthquakes in New Zealand, and the 4th largest earthquake (in record) occurred in Japan. Japan's power planets survived the earthquake, but did not make through the tsunami. In Thailand, flooding which caused the stops in many important manufacturing for the world.

Lucky Don who lives in beautiful Boston and picturesque Quincy was simply so lucky. How lucky is beautiful Boston and picturesque Quincy? It is not an earthquake prone region, unlikely to have tsunami either. Definitely not a bushfire danger region, and not hurricanes' popular target. The only thing, a bit too much beautiful snow which those lucky guys even complain.

As a matter of fact, the American government are very protective to those rich (and whiter) Americans. Over protective on tropical storm Irene, and because of the over-protective-measure, our good friend, Don took a drive to reputable Rochester at pretty reasonable 50 kph (km/hr). He whinged about 50 kph not being acceptable (for his BMW I guess). In comparison, one nice sunny afternoon (not even during peak hour), my trip to IKEA was at a ridiculous 19.95 kph.
