racist border protection, again!

Last night on Border Security, we witnessed again that although the Customs & Border Protection came out with some legitimate reasons to scrutinise Asian travellers, it was damn clear that the race is an important factor and they tend to target all non-white non-Caucasian races.

innocent Japanese lady targeted by Australian Customs

This Japanese woman spent one day in Vietnam, then came to Australia for two days. The Australian Government immediately suspect her of carrying drugs or dealing with drugs. They swapped her bags for any traces of drugs, and disappointing results (from Australian Government's point of view), negative (no traces of drugs). No traces? Search her body of course.

Well, it turns out that the female Japanese visitor is a keen gambler, and she recently had a huge win and decided to treat herself (trip to Australia).

The issue is simple: What was wrong with staying one day in Vietnam? Just because she is Asian, she had to under such questioning? It is obviously that Australian Government would not question a white Caucasian visitor for staying one day in Vietnam unless they managed to find other evidences (such as traces of drugs)

Also, all 3 people shown on last night's episode were all Asians.

The moral of last night's Border Security: If you were born as an Asian, you are being suspected unless proven innocent, at least when entering Australia. (And I believe the situation is similar when entering the advanced United States of America.)

Missed out last night's Border Security, you can watch the episode online legally at Yahoo!7's Plus7 site.

Drugs continue to pour into Australia and is readily available to buy on the streets, why?
-Because when you watch border security 99.9% of people who are taking in for internal searches are blacks and Asians. White travellers are regarded as low risk and not frequently subjected to internal body searches. Drugs enter Australia easily via these so called white "Legitimate travellers"
