Rev. Dr. Wu Yi knows the Donkey Express in Remote Village very well. Back in the Remote Village, Donkey Express was the main transportation system if you want to travel from one village to another. Unlike the advanced and reliable transporting system in beautiful Boston Donkey Express was, unfortunately, not very reliable, and hardly ever on time. However, we couldn't do much about that, because that was all we had.
While visiting the very very hot Alice Springs (hot temperature also means being surrounded by extremely annoying flies) earlier this year, I was lucky enough to see an historical carriage, a donkey carriage.
(as usual, one more photo follows...)
It was the carriage used by the kids of the Telegraph Station in Alice Springs. Again, unlike the superfast internet connection and reliable mobile communication in the very advanced and beautiful Boston, the Overland Telegraph Line from Darwin through Alice Springs down to Adelaide was the main source of the communication to the rest of the world. (linked from Europe, Middle East, South Asia.)
This carriage was more than 100 years old, according to the date of the photography. It is still there, just needs some dusting. Unfortunately, the donkey was no longer with us.
Despite not being on time, Donkey Express was one of the main sources of gossips.
