essential items to survive in Sydney

Unlike beautiful Boston, picturesque Quincy or reputable Rochester with beautiful snow in winter time making the right scenery for the Christmas. Sydney's Christmas is generally very sticky hot.

What does hot weather mean? It translates to most insects are extremely active. They are busy crawling/flying around, busy reproducing as well as busy finding their food sources, that includes biting human.

So, this was what I bought in one go:
sprays_450.jpg

Why do I need so many sprays in one go? Simply, I need to have a can of spray in each corner of the house. When I see a cockroach, and run the get a can of spray in the other end of the house, the cockroach would usually run away. Also, the regular fly sprays do not work well on cockroaches. Don't worry Don. Each can has its own label, so I don't mix them up.

The moral of today's entry: when Don enjoys beautiful snow in beautiful Boston/picturesque Quincy, the poor Antony is getting sweaty from the temperature and bitten by many blood sucking insects.

Obviously, those blood-sucking insects don't know that they are dealing with Antony, the Prince of the Spray Can!! R.I.P Louis.

As usual, you completely neglected everything I've ever said, and assumed we have no insects here in Boston. Furthermore, as usual, you forgot that we have rodents during the winter, which cannot be killed with simple spray cans.

It is a well known fact that nice and cool area do not have as many flying insects (flies, sandflies, mosquitoes, cockroaches, ... etc) as hot areas. Certainly not as active as in hot areas.
People don't get bitten by rodents normally. However people get bitten by flying insects.
Are you again refusing to accept the nature?

You forgot we have plenty of horseflies, mosquitoes, etc. during the summer. While it may not be as hot as Sydney, it's definitely hot enough to encourage biting insect colonies. There have been many scares of West Nile and EEE summer after summer being carried by mosquitoes here.
Rodents carry disease as well, not to mention they eat your food and destroy walls and wires and so forth.

Please remember: Sydney is not like beautiful Boston with beautiful snow in the winter and beautiful rainbows/butterflies in the summer.

Well, it's obvious from such a statement that you are simply NOT listening to me, hence I see no reason to continue our conversation.

Mice/Rats are easy to get rid off. Just get some cats or have some Talon (the rats poison, works great).
BTW, cheap rats poison does not work.

Mind you, cats and rat poison are much more expensive than insect killer.

For fact, mice and rats are much bigger, easier to get rid of them. Cockroaches are difficult to kill them all.
