someone stole my NapiSan!

NapiSanI was outraged last night (and today still). My Vanish NapiSan was stolen. In case Don is not familiar with NapiSan, NapiSan (by Vanish) is the best known cloth stain removal brand in Australia (translate to Don's disliking: it is the most expensive one in supermarket shelf, generally speaking).

Last night while doing my laundry, I noticed my 3kg Vanish NapiSan Oxi Action powder was missing. And not just NapiSan, the thief also took three Vanish Preen Oxi Action (fabric stain removal) sprays. Unbelievable.

Other less-well known brand washing powders were still there. Obviously, the thief has some taste in brand names (in the washing powder and spray).

Why did I get those washing enhancements? Simply, trying to live like Don.

Well, the laundry can't be locked, but it does not mean people are allowed to walk in and take whatever they want.

Despite the fact that those washing enhancements cost less than AU$50, I still made a report to the police. Don't worry, I did not engage the emergency line, I used the non-emergency line (131 444, Police Assistance Line). It is important to report all sorts of crimes so the police would know and you can help keeping the crime statistics accurate.

I did buy a two kg Vanish NapiSan Oxi Action powder as well as one Vanish Preen Oxi Action tonight, so I can continue the washing.

Conclusion: Sydney is not as safe as orderly beautiful Boston or picturesque Quincy or reputable Rochester with friendly and polite neighbours.

It would seem you have some area vagrants who are impressed by your bright wash on the line, and wish to emulate you!

LOL. You win.
It was the most interesting comment I've ever received.

Perhaps just keep your laundry supplies inside your place until you go to do laundry, then take them back when you're done, as I do?

Well, it is convenient to leave those stuff in the laundry. EXCEPT Sydney is not as safe as orderly and beautiful Boston with friendly and polite citizens.

I've told you many times before that "friendly and polite citizens" is one of your ideas, despite having given you examples just as many times of why that's false.
Well, you can't leave your expensive cleaning supplies outside, regardless of where you live. You should know that. Despite what you think may hold true here, I recall my roommate last year had not only his laundry soap but also some of his clothes stolen.

It is not one of those shared or public laundries. It is convenient to leave washing powders there.
I don't have designer's brand clothing.

Convenient, but not really safe - that is more common sense than anything.
Neither my roommate nor I had designer clothing, his just got stolen anyway.
