snow is beautiful and expensive

Unlike the lucky Don who lives in a place that has plenty of beautiful snow in the right season (e.g. Christmas). Snow is really expensive here in Sydney, and I have the price tag for that.

Just few days before Christmas last year, while doing my dutiful window shopping (with Laurent) at David Jones, I noticed this very important decoration for the Christmas season: fake snow, at a price.

The iSnow can does not really cool people down, but it gives the people some very much wanted 'nice and cool' feeling for the Christmas season. A can of iSnow can make 1.5 litre of instant snow, with a price tag of $7.95.

Snow is not just expensive in iSnow can, it is also something generally reserved for the rich ones. How? Visiting snowing resorts is never a cheap activity. Flying to Europe (or USA) is never been cheap.

Unlike the lucky Don in beautiful Boston or reputable Rochester, we had to suffer the scorching heat in Sydney for Christmas.

Don't worry, Antony was too poor to buy any can of that.

As you might be aware, the topic of "beautiful snow", is not a popular one, with so much of the US in the grip of record breaking snowfall. Great chunks of urban America cannot function, and transport dislocation causes much suffering and anguish.Until you have experienced the horror of a white winter gone mad, try and understand the realities of this weather extreme.

Yes, that's one you can't believe. Sydney was very very hot today, and it is predicted to be a very hot week.

You want some of our snow? Around here the local governments pay for snow to be removed, and you paid to buy snow, so I'm sure you could work out a more favorable deal.
Just so you know, it's much more cost-effective to put ice in a blender than to buy snow in a can.

At 40+ C predicted to last over a week, I am sure most people don't mind having some beautiful in their backyards.
The blended ice aren't exactly same as snow, you know.

Not exactly the same, but from experience, close enough. Remember that around here we don't really get "fluffy" snow, we get wet and heavy snow.

Well, obviously I do not know that there are different kind of snow. I am not that experienced with snow, unlike the lucky you.
I still can't image that you guys want to get rid of snow. They cool you down, keeping everybody in good temper.

There are different kinds of snow - and we only get the wet and heavy (read: annoying, non-beautiful) version.
We get snow at a time of year that it's so cold, snow is actually warmer than the ambient air, so it actually has a warming effect. Plus, snow is so difficult to move around in, it doesn't keep anyone in good temper - it does much the opposite.
