an essential peripheral

Finally, I upgraded the very small mouse pad to a suitable size one - 44.4 cm by 35.5 cm (that is 17.5 inches by 14 inches in Don's American units).

Razer Goliathus

This part should keep Don happen: It is not Apple or Sony (the two brands Don hates). Since Don is very focused on the brand name, it is Razer, a brand that is designed for gamers (by gamers). Razer Goliathus Control Edition comes with three sizes, and I got the "oversized" version.

This is a very important upgrade, it give me the mouse pad that is just about the right size for me to move the (mouse) curse/pointer around the screen(s) without lift up the mouse.

Razer Goliathus

Exactly how big is the new mouse pad? It is easier to show the size differences with photos than words, particularly when Antony does not speak English.

This is the original tiny mouse pad (standard size):

This is the new Razer Goliathus Control Edition mouse pad (oversize version):

(the two white square bit reflected on the Zed Desk were resulted the softbox used for the flash, sorry for not setting it up properly.)

After using this mouse pad for a few weeks, my impressions of Razer Goliathus Control Edition are: I don't like the colour and logo (a big too geek to me), and I am not a gamer. Apart from the look, it is the best mouse pad I've ever used. Just enough smoothness with the friction that is just right! A small mouse pad is really annoy to work on!

(to Don: Antony is poor.)

What's wrong with saving some desk space by simply lifting up the mouse?

1) you have to lift up pretty often, it gets very annoying.
2) Not a good idea while working in Photoshop.

I've used two screens for years and never found it annoying. Perhaps you put too high a price on convenience.

Perhaps your mouse pad was not that small to start with.
Posted by Antony on 21 January 2011 9:30 PM.
It's a standard-sized mousepad, I've never seen one substantially bigger or smaller than another.

Looks good mate, did you look at your tracking speed in system preferences before purchasing the new mouse pad? This may have resolved your issue?... I have used some of the Razr stuff before and it is great.

Because the game party you attended are all Xbox 360 consoles, not those PC LAN games.
I have, it is at the sensitivity that suits me. I don't have sensitive white hands.

You really need to stop making false assumptions about me, and then speaking on them as if they are infallible.

Except they were facts.

No, those were false assumptions. There is a big difference between a fact and an opinion which you don't seem to understand.

Of course I know the difference between facts and opinions, as well as knowing that you avoided anything that is Mac or Apple.
