Some of you know that I've been recycling with this Envirobank. The other day I got a mysterious prize:

free pen from recycling

Well, nothing that special, but better than nothing.

Shall I bring Don into this entry? Here it goes:
Unlike Don, Antony is so poor, he has to recycle cans and plastic bottles in order to get a pen. Of course, Don does not use a pen much, he uses his laptop (or other digital gadget) for notes taking and writing. Well, comparing to Don, Antony is very very outdated.

too poor to buy drink (2 February, 2010)

from iTunes Store:
Back when I used to drink Mountain Dew and other soda, I also recycled my bottles and cans using the reverse vending machines. Well, since I don't do that anymore, no cash back for me.
You're the one with two iPhones, an iPod touch, an iPad, and who-knows what else to carry around, while I carry a pen and pencil with me at all times. Unless of course you want to count the 11-year-old P3 laptop I carry around now, or my 6-year-old phone that can't even begin to compete with yours.

I don't think it is a competition DON.
Unless you like to play puerile games, which I don't think is your style.

Fact: no cash backs for recycling in Sydney (or anywhere in NSW) that I know of, except the Envirobank's machine (which gives rewards, not cash).
Facts: During classes, Don takes notes with his laptop, I took notes with pen and paper.

Here, there is a 5-cent tax on soda containers and water bottles, but you can get the 5 cents back by bringing them to an inverse vending machine. The state can make money this way because most people are too lazy to actually take them back, and instead throw them out.
I'm actually taking notes on paper in two classes this quarter, NOT exclusively with the laptop like you tried to make it sound.

So you recycled to get your 5 cents back? Don't tell me that you also picked up other people's throw outs to make your money back.
Still, you take lecture notes in the high tech digital way (except two classes). I did not say you took notes exclusively with the laptop or any other digital method.
Fact: I always take notes in pen and paper.
Conclusion: I am more outdated than you.

Well, a few times, but only when they were readily accessible and clean (i.e. somebody missed the trash bin). This is opposed to some people around here who go around looking through peoples' trash for bottles and cans for a living, mind you.
Your conclusion is not necessarily correct, because you forgot very important factors such as how you own the latest and greatest of all gadgets, whereas I only own those of yesteryear. Remember, the newest gadget I own is almost 5 years old now, whereas you could probably count on one hand how many gadgets of that age you still use on a regular basis.
