every Christmas is the same... Carols in the Domain

Apparently, every Christmas is about the same. For some unknown reason, I have last four years of the Woolworths' Carols in the Domain recordings. I haven't been to the domain for that event for the last four years, so I guess watching them on TV is something I do every year before Christmas.

2007's Carols in the Domain:

Guess what? Carols in the Domain has been re-using the identical decorations/background for the stage year after year. Okay, some of the sponsors have slightly adjusted the logos, and that it was updated. Well, Sydney is not as rich as beautiful Boston, I guess they just can't afford new decorations each year.

2008's Carols in the Domain:

And the songs? Guess what? All those same songs year after year.

Slightly different stars singing for the show, but you can expect some familiar faces.

As for the hosts? Grant Denyer (Sunrise Weatherman) and Kate Ritchie (Sally Fletcher on Home and Away) have been hosting until 2009. Well, Kate Ritchie moved to Channel 9, and this year, it was hosted by Grant Denyer and Kylie Gillies (from The Morning Show).

And Santa arrives slightly differently each year.

I know I am lazy this year on Christmas tree, but when I do decorate, I at least put on different themes each year.

What's wrong with reusing the decorations? It saves time and money.

You don't want to be called cheap.
Even the styles of the Christmas tree itself have changed the trend over the years (although not very fast).
Save money? You don't talk about saving money during Christmas.
