Wisemans Ferry

Unlike the exciting and colourful life Don has in beautiful Boston and reputable Rochester, yesterday afternoon Laurent and I went to Wisemans Ferry for a ride.

Half way there, there's a bridge on Galston Road where the Benowie Walking Track is. Unlike high class people in beautiful Boston, we do have some street artists. This one is not that bad in my opinion.

(as usual, more photos follow...)

Unfortunately, Sydney does not have beautiful snow, and the more west we head in, temperature is simply hotter. Not a comfortable thing.

Wisemans Ferry

In Wisemans Ferry:

Unlike picturesque Quincy, the river in Wisemans Ferry was very very brown, it might due to the recent flooding in NSW. However, I found something more interesting:

Not pretty, it was a dead shell (or skin or whatever it was called) of a whatever bug. Sorry Don, my Biology was pretty bad.

Instead of driving on the same route back home, we decided to detour to Castle Hills. Last time I want to Castle Towers in Castle Hill was for Harry Connick Jr's live performance, it was unfortunately cancelled on that day. (I drove all the way there for nothing.) Why did I want to visit Castle Hill? Simple, there is a new shrine where worshippers must visit in Castle Towers Shopping Centre.

Apple Store Castle Towers
Highlight of the day: visiting Apple Store in Castle Towers. It is quite big actually.

As for the evening, Laurent and I decided to have a feast at a cheap Garden Buffet (in Sky City Casino Sydney).

This concludes the boring day for the poor Antony. Like I said, Sydney is not as exciting or colourful as beautiful Boston/reputable Rochester. And for Don's information: Antony bought nothing at all yesterday (except for restaurant food). To Don: Antony is poor.

St Mary's Cathedral this year has special light and music show. Pretty impressive.

Judging by your map, it looks like you had quite the trip just to get there! Somehow I am not surprised there was a mall visit in with it though.
I would like to make a correction about your comment on the lack of street artist in Boston. We in fact have quite a problem with not only graffiti art, but with the local gangs drawing their logos all over other people's property, in the areas that those gangs are prominent. It's very prominent around the areas where the trains are (you can see them from the windows), but they've also begun graffiting the trains themselves. Most people paint over the affected areas only to have the graffiti painted back days or weeks later.

Well, the distance is about 80km (one way) according to Google Maps. Laurent initially planned on just going to Wisemans Ferry (then back to Bondi Junction for dinner). Half way there, I saw the road sign (to Rev. Dr. Wu Yi: I do read road signs) saying that I could turn and reach Castle Hill. So we altered the route back home.
Despite a stop a the mall, we did not buy anything there. (And the final dinner place was changed to buffet.)
