amateur photos from recent trip

Cocos_Christmas_Islands_map.jpgWell, sorry guys, since I return from the trip to Cocos Islands and Christmas Island, Laurent and I have been pretty busy with all sorts of things. Finally I had some time to select some photos. Unlike Don, I don't travel that often. (to Don: Antony is poor.)

Most likely, no one knows where Cocos Islands and Christmas Island are. Except most Australians (those who follow news) know Christmas Island is famous for its Detention Centre (temporary housing location for asylum seekers a.k.a. illegal boat arrivals. To make the life easier, I attached a screenshot from Google Map with points added. Speaking about asylum seekers, I really don't know why they bother to come to Christmas Island (or Australia mainland) by illegal boats. Australian Government is not that interested in taking more refugees, they should head to Don's United States of America, a country well known for its welfare system as well as The American Dream.

Anyhow, to the topic of my very amateur photos.

Besides the Detention Centre in Christmas Island, Christmas Island is well known for crabs.

They are huge, for your size reference.

Of course, there are small crabs, such as red hermit crab.

You should know the name of this,

Despite the nice name "Christmas Island", there's no beautiful snow at all, and the Christmas (holiday) period is usually very quiet as most residents are away during that time. Well, it's pretty un-Christmas during Christmas time in Christmas Island. Want a very Christmas with plenty beautiful snow? Visit beautiful Boston!

How shall I conclude this entry? Unlike Don, Antony does not travel often. Unlike Don, Antony is very amateur in photography.
