want to be a good Samaritan?
It is a nature reaction to stop and help someone who is in trouble. Yesterday's Sunrise reported that a good Samaritan in Adelaide saw a (stolen) Ute hit a BMW, he thought they might need help so he rushed to help. For his good deed, the alleged car thieves attacked this 27-year-old Samaritan, and demanded his vehicle. He refused, then they punched him several times, took off with his car.
He was left injured there and the car was gone.
In fact, less than 12 hours later in the north of the city, there was another incident, somebody stopped a motorist. The motorist stopped because he thought somebody was in trouble. In this case, the motorist got stabbed in the chest.
The morale of the stories, if you observe an accident, you are under no legal obligation to stop or help or see if everybody is okay.
After all, Australia is not a safe and friendly place like beautiful Boston.
Now, today's news, the Election has been called. It will be on Saturday 21st August, exactly 5 weeks from today. Voting is unfortunately compulsory for all eligible voters.
