I can wait, again

iPhone 4Like last time, I can wait again. This time, for the replacement of my over 2 years old iPhone 3G.

Unlike Don who lives in the advanced United States of America, we don't have the new iPhone 4 yet. Not even any release date nor pricing information available.

Apple said:

iPhone 4 will roll out worldwide to 88 countries by the end of September. iPhone 4 will be available by the end of July in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

Rumour says it will be available on 23rd July, however there's no official words available from Apple. And on top of world wide shortage (especially the white iPhone 4), I highly doubt it would be available anytime soon, and I have a feeling the iPhone 4 will be postponed like iPad.

As for my current old iPhone 3G, it means my two years contact has ended. I am free to move to anything I like.

Well, I am trying to be patient.

Don is lucky, he lives in the advanced United States of America, with all the latest products available first.

(to Don: Antony is poor.)

"All the latest products available first" - maybe the Apple ones. Other manufacturers like HTC and LG typically release to their geographically closer markets first.
Well, despite having "latest products" I still use an 11-year-old phone.

Fine, allow me to correct the wording, "Most wanted gadgets are usually available in the advanced United States first, and a painful long wait for other countries."
Sorry, I don't speak English.

Allow me to correct the wording agani: "Most gadgets that you want are usually available in the U.S. first," since Apple is a U.S.-based firm. The very popular HTC Dream phone, for comparison, is made by HTC (based in South Korea), and is current out across Europe, Southeast Asia, and Australia. It won't be hitting North America for another few months.

I thought HTC was based in Taiwan.
Anyhow, you guys have lots more devices available first.

According to the media...it's a piece of crap!
Caveat Emptor Antony.

Apple will have special announcement on Friday (Don's US time).
According to media, iPhone 4, despite the issue with antenna reception, still a very hot selling phone.

Sorry, my bad. It's LG and Samsung that are based in South Korea; HTC is (as you said) based in Taiwan.

And the most wanted products are available in the United States of America first, sometimes not here at all.

You completely missed my proof otherwise, I guess.

No, my point was still true, "Most wanted gadgets are usually available in the advanced United States first, and a painful long wait for other countries"

You are failing to realize that Apple is not the only manufacturer of "wanted gadgets". Despite what you like to believe, Apple is not the only company that matters.

Of course, only the devices that are designed for Esau hacking matters.
Also Apple is the company you hated most. Just because they are not as open to the liking of open source extremists.
