Vodafone and 3 (THREE) finally released their plans

May in Australia has been the talk month of iPads, especially when Telstra first to release their iPad plans which surprised many people. (Telstra has been known for being the most expensive in mobile and mobile broadband, despite their much better coverage and speed.) Optus released the iPad plans shortly.

Finally, just few days before the very desperate 28th May, Vodafone and 3 (THREE) finally announced their iPad plans.

If you want to go with Vodafone, they offer from $9.95 (250MB, 30 days expiry) to $49.95 (unlimited, 30 days expiry) to $150 (12GB, 365 days expiry).

As for 3, you can get a Micro SIM Starter Pack for free (+ 50 cents postage and handling), then on Prepaid plan from $15 (500MB + 1GB bonus, 30 days expiry) to $149 (12GB, 365 days expiry), for Month by month plan $15 (1GB + 500MB bonus) or $29 (3GB, 1GB bonus).

3 (THREE) is known to offer the cheapest (best value for money) plans for mobile phone and mobile broadband, however, it is also known as the worst coverage in Australia (smallest coverage, and only in major metropolitan cities). Three and Vodafone recently merged under the name Vodafone Hutchison Australia Pty Limited. To best of my knowledge, they are operating under two different trading names as well as two separate networks still.

So, the iPad plans from all major mobile networks are out except Virgin Mobile which uses Optus' network.

As for me, I got my Telstra Pre-Paid Micro-SIM for Apple iPad from Telstra T-life store yesterday.

Getting an iPad? How can you let your iPad (or any gadgets) get scratched? You need invisibleSHIELD. InvisibleSHIELD is engineered from military grade patented material. It is extremely tough (ability to withstand scuffs and scratches) that does not add bulkiness.

These contraptions cost so much to buy, and then a small fortune to run. It's like getting a car for $200 and paying $2000 to insure it!IMHO.

haha.
BTW, you don't need to get the 3G plan and you can still use the device without it. With cars, the insurance is compulsory.
