why you need Parallels Desktop 5 for Mac

This is the reason you need to upgrade your Parallels Desktop for Mac to version 5:

With Parallels Desktop 4 for Mac, you can only achieve a very pathetic Experience Index of 1.0. No Aero effect, no Aero Flip effect etc... Now, the Windows 7 is definitely a much much more enjoyable operating system under Parallels Desktop 5.0 for Mac (on my MacBook Pro).

Experience Index 4.5 certainly means a much more enjoyable working space! (still not as enjoyable as Don's superfast 64-bit dual-processor laptop running licensed copy of Windows 7 Professional, used to run the very expensive licensed copy of Windows Vista Ultimate)

I recently upgraded my Parallels Desktop 4 to version 5, and the improvement is really nice. Certainly worth the money.

Major new features of Parallels Desktop 5 for Mac include:
ability to run Windows 7 and Vista with Aero, better graphics performance than previous versions, and runs on Mac OS X 10.6. Enhanced graphic support including 64-bit, DirectX 9.0c/9Ex and Shader Model 3 support -- even in Windows 7. OpenGL 2.1 support for Linux guest OS, etc.

I believe Parallels Desktop 5 means more Windows games can be enjoyed. I have yet to test this out.

from iTunes Store:
Looks like I have to make more corrections again, geez.
My experience rating is a measly 3.0. Yours is 4.5, virtualized no less! That's screaming fast compared to what I have.
Furthermore, this doesn't really mean you need Parallels 5 either, since you probably aren't going to need 3D support inside a virtual machine. In that case, you can use Sun's VirtualBox, which is an excellent free virtualization product, unlike the paid-for Parallels.
Which brings me to my next point, you still can't use my Windows license ownership to imply that I am poor. My copy of Vista Ultimate was free, and my copy of Seven Professional was free. Your past few copies of Mac OS X, by comparison, were not free.
But of course, money is no object to you.

When the Windows 7 or Vista is more enjoyable (like you've been enjoying for years), it will simply make people more willing to use windows for many tasks.
BTW, I never implied that you are poor.

I meant to say "imply that I am rich", and I think you know what I meant to say.
Posted by Don_HH2K on 10 January 2010 2:37 AM.
The facts are:
Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate had a price tag a lot higher than the Mac OS X Leopard, and Microsoft 7 Professional is priced a really lot more than Mac OS X Snow Leopard.

You don't seem to understand I paid for neither of those, hence it would be inappropriate to imply that I am rich on the basis of Windows costing more than Mac OS.
Posted by Don_HH2K on 11 January 2010 4:47 AM.
I am well aware that
1) you have both the very expensive Windows Vista Ultimate and pretty expensive Windows 7 Professional.
2) you are lucky enough to have them and I can't afford neither Windows Vista nor Windows 7.
3) Windows operating systems costs much more than Mac OS Xs.
4) All I said were correct and true.

Again, just because you have a few true facts doesn't mean that your logic isn't flawed. Paying nothing does not imply rich on any level.
For the record, I can't afford Vista Ultimate or Seven Pro; if it weren't for getting either free, I'd still be running XP right now.

At the time Windows Vista was out already, I bought a copy of Windows XP Pro for use under Parallels Desktop. This is a proof that Antony is poor, and unlike you, using the latest from Microsoft.
Posted by Antony on 11 January 2010 6:28 AM.
And there you go still trying to say that you are poor and I am rich. You PAID for Windows, I did NOT PAY for Windows. Which cost more?

Talk about the dog chasing its own tail!!!!!

The fact is... you were using the very expensive Windows Vista Ultimate, and I using Windows XP and still now.

Talk about the dog chasing its own tail!!!!!

Only stupid dogs do that!
Posted by Antony on 12 January 2010 8:04 PM.
See, you are still doing it! I did NOT PAY for Vista, hence it is improper to imply richness here!

You missed out the main point of the blog entry again. This entry is focused on the Parallels Desktop 5, which provides important improvement to use Windows Vista and Windows 7 which you have been enjoying for quite a while.

I did not miss the point, I merely commented on one statement that you made for which the implication was false.

You forgot again that you don't expect non-English speakers to speak with underneath meaning or any insinuations.

Except we all know that you speak English.
