too poor for the bargain hunting

Some of you may be surprised that I did not do any post-Christmas shopping (or window shopping) at all this time.

Boxing Day (26th December) is the traditional day for bargains. Most shops open for trading with huge discounts on this day (in major cities), and other towns starts the sell on 27th. The sale usually lasts until mid or late January, however, you might not get the stock you want if you are not quick.

And for some unknown reason, I haven't been out for any shopping at all after Christmas. Which, I would say, is unusual for me. Like most people, we initially planned on for a Boxing Day window shopping. (to Don: Antony is poor.)

I am still considering replacing the current over three years old iMac, and still yet to decide what to replace it with. The 27-inch iMac? Or the Mac Pro? Or wait for the rumoured Apple tablet? Anyhow, I won't get any of those by the end of 2009.

Congratulations on giving the credit card a well-deserved break!

I don't use my credit card that often to start with.

From the sounds of things, you use your credit card to make more purchases than I make at all.

You don't expect poor guy to use credit cards (often).

Not only do I hear that you spend and spend on your credit card like there's no tomorrow, but you are always lecturing me on how credit cards are the best thing ever to come about.

I only buy what are necessary, and always try to get them during discounts.
Credit cards give people free awards points, since most people still have to pay bills, using credit cards or not.

More proof that you do lots of credit card spending: everybody knows those awards points only amount to anything if you charge lots of money to your credit card.

Unlike you, most people do have bills to pay. Simply by switching the payment method to credit card, people can make awards points for no extra spending.

Hey I know this is off topic but I was wondering if you knew of
any widgets I could add to my blog that automatically
tweet my newest twitter updates. I've been looking for a plug-in like this for quite some time and was hoping maybe
you would have some experience with something like this. Please let me know
if you run into anything. I truly enjoy reading
your blog and I look forward to your new updates.
