my poor Christmas tree

Well, last year, I did not bother to put up the Christmas tree, which looked a bit unusual I'd say. This year, I bought a new Christmas tree during a big bargain 40 days before the Christmas. A 195cm tall Christmas tree for just AU$24.98. A very good value for the tree.

Due to unexpected things going all around, I did not put on any planned decoration. Absolutely no ornaments except the LED Christmas lights.

(to Don: Antony is poor, he can't afford any Christmas trims.)

The LED Christmas lights were bought last year, but did not use them. Those LED lights were pretty good, white, low energy consumption and hardly generate any heat. I am sure those LED lights would get Don's approval, since he's into LED technology.

As mentioned earlier, there was no Christmas tree setting up last year, and at the last minute, I put a tiny table top decoration tree for the photo. Despite the lacking of a proper Christmas tree, the spirit of Christmas was there, presents of course!

Although the lack of proper decoration, a proper Christmas tree is there anyway this year. But who care about the tree itself? The attention is, of course, what are under the tree! Although smaller presents this year, still about the same amounts. And we might do some last minutes shopping later.

You can't afford decorations? I seem to remember you had decorations last year, hence you must still have them this year, unless you throw them out and start anew every year. It's more likely that you simply didn't have any time to put them up, because you were too busy doing your expensive window shopping.
Just so you know, in my house with three people living in it (that's MORE than your two), I am pretty sure we've never had as many gifts under the tree as are in your photo.

Good point Don, we all know that Antony is not in-fact poor, this is evidenced by the number of presents under his tree (no matter how much they cost) and all the large purchases he makes as per his regular blog entries..We have never had that many presents either, but it doesn't make us poor...

A Christmas with proper decoration does make people feel like the tree is a bit poor. Well, the more you put on, the more you have to take them off.

The tree is plastic, a real tree (chopped off) for that size would cost more than $200.

Again, that does not make you poor; it only means that you didn't have time to put decorations on.

I've told you a number of times, Antony is poor. Hence the tree is poor. The lack of decorations further proves the fact.

Now, I am getting the idea that you purposely didn't put any ornaments on the three, so that you could call yourself poor. That's even though you own all the ornaments, which would say otherwise, but with you there's no need for logic.
