Sydney Royal Easter Show next month

Easter Show 2009

The Easter Show is coming next month from 9th until 22nd of April.

There's the deal, if you want to save a few dollars, you can pre-purchase the show tickets online and save 10% (or 15% for family tickets). The deal is available until 25th March.
Now, there's the catch, unless you are exactly sure the date you will be there (and you happen to know the weather), there's an expensive postage and handling fee of $5.90. Take an example of two adult tickets for Laurent and I, the full price ticket is $32 (including public transport) each. The online pre-purchase price would be $28.80 each. Two of those tickets plus the postage and handling ($5.90) would end up $63.50. A net saving of 50 cents compared to simply buying CityRail, or Australia Post.

Of course, if you happen to know the exact date you will be there, and you know the sky will be good to you, you can get save the postage and handling fee. In above case, the saving would be $6.40 cents.

The second most important part of the Easter Show is without a doubt the Carnival. If you are young like Don, you can get the xtreme ride tickets with 25% off discount. That is $75 for $100 worth of Carnival Coupon Voucher. I don't think Laurent and I will play that much this year. (To Don: Antony is old.)

And the most important thing of the Easter Show is without a doubt the showbags. The most expensive one would be only $25, and there are hundreds priced less than $10. As a tradition, I will get a Coca-Cola showbag this year (if I go there). As for other showbags... many seem to be very low quality.

Hopefully, I will be out of the country for the Easter madness!
I hope to be in Thailand for the "Songkran" madness 13-17 April, their New Year.

I'm not a big fan of carnival rides. Never been on one, and I don't intend to go change that now.

You are an enigma, young DON!!!!

Don,
You should know that those rides are not just for the kids. But I know, you only accept the high-tech games, such as Halo 3 on Microsoft Xbox 360!
Rev. Dr. Wu Yi,
I am sure you don't want to miss out the chicken shows. They have chicken competitions there every year.

First: Halo 3? You have Halo 3 and a 360, Don? Second: Why'd ya bold Microsoft? Apple created a game console and it didn't sell that well. And, Apple doesn't seem to cater to game geeks. You know, the ones that think it's "l33t to sp33k liek this :3".

Unlike Microsoft's guaranteed successful in every single market, Apple did not success on every field of market they entered.

Contrary to what Antony suggests, I own neither an Xbox 360 nor Halo 3. I own Halo 1 for the PC - that's it for Microsoft games, and that game still had more Bungie Studios than Microsoft in it.
Why is "Microsoft" capitalized in your sentence?
Posted by Don_HH2K on 13 March 2009 11:32 AM.
Meant to say "bolded", not "capitalized".

Well, it is important to show my respect to your beloved Microsoft.

I don't know how I can impress upon you that Microsoft is not my "beloved".
