some square dining plates

From the comments on yesterday's entry, it seems like the Chinese dining sets were not popular. Why? I think I shall leave the reason for readers to draw their own conclusions.

Well, I got some dining plates on Sunday from IKEA. The best part: they are square!

They are Charmör bowls, Charmör deep plates, and Charmör plates. The Charmör series are available in black and white, and I bought one for each colour.

Laurent does have some square plates which I've used for many photos before. He does not have any square bowls!

(The following day I went back to IKEA again and got myself two Charmör side plates (they are rectangular, one black, one white). Well, rectangular is obviously the next best shape after square.)

It seems like that I did not control the lighting well for those photos. I was testing my Sony HVL-F58AM Flashes. Obviously that I have to learn more on setting up flashes properly. I admit I have been enjoy taking photos without flashes. (to Don: Antony is poor.)

Again, we all know that all food taste much better one you placed them on square plates.
