back to cooking again

Paris International Cooking SchoolSorry for no blog entry yesterday. It was hot and I was tired of cooking. Kids were back to school from the past Monday, and I started my first cooking for 2009 yesterday with Margot from Austra. We spent three and a half hours preparing and cooking. (Food preparation takes longer than cooking.)

Green beans, casserole and omelet are today's dishes. Nothing special today.

Here are the photos from my first Practical Hospitality Cooking Cooking class at Laurent's cooking school in Sydney.

The two first courses:
Vichyssoise Cream SoupSalad of Chicken Liver

(As usual, more photos follow ... )

The dishes are:

  • Vichyssoise Cream Soup
  • Salad of Chicken Liver

  • Fillet of Perch Verdi
  • Mediterranean Baked Rice
  • Zucchini Provenšal

  • Lamb Cutlets Musketeers
  • Boulangere Potatoes
  • Lyonnaise Green Beans

  • Paris Brest Gateaux
  • Exotic Fruit Salad

Two main courses:
Verdi, Baked Rice, Zucchini

Lamb, Potatoes, Green Beans

And two desserts:
Paris Brest GateauxExotic Fruit Salad

I have no idea what Exotic Fruit Salad is called Exotic Fruit Salad. One thing for sure, a touch of strawberries would make the Fruit Salad a lot tastier.

Not very bright lighting, sorry. Antony is too cheap to use flash (this reads to Don: Antony is poor.).

We both agree on that point.

Thank you Rev. Dr. Wu Yi.
I forgot the importance of using square plates completely.

I was about to ask what had happened to your trademark square plates.
Antony, you must have extreme patience - I would never be able to spend 3.5 hours preparing and cooking food. Well, I guess that's why I do things like the cleaning on holidays instead of the cooking.

Dude, why spend 3 1/2 hours preparing it, when you can just go down to the BK and eat some of their greasy crap?

Dude, you eat greasy crap yourself?

Hell yes!
