It's time to count down for 2009. Here's a sneak peek of this year's lighting (secret symbol) of Sydney Harbour Bridget. Recorded by 7News few nights ago during a rehearsal.

The special lighting is usually shown at end of NYE08 midnight fireworks.

As usual, there will be a number of events to celebrate the new year. Starting at 9pm for the 9pm Family Fireworks (for those who don't want to stay up all until midnight), then Harbour of Light Parade. At midnight, the most anticipated event - Midnight Fireworks. Since this is a big event for Sydney, there will be a number of road closures (Don't worry, won't be as much as for Mr George W. Bush's visit during APEC) as well as some vantage points. If you are not going out for the Sydney NYE08 Fireworks, don't forget to watch Prison Break tonight at 10.30pm to 11.30pm.
