Merry Christmas 2008

Happy Christmas everybody.

This was me in front of Christmas tree in Martin Place. Laurent took the photo and I was not the focus of the photo (the tree was). (to Don: Antony is black)

As for the Christmas tree at home, I was very busy this year, and haven't had time to put one up, despite that I bought some Christmas decoration well before Christmas.

Although lacking a Christmas tree, I did have something for the spirit of Christmas. Presents of course.

If you look at carefully, you will see a small tree above/behind the presents ;-)

I did follow the Christmas tradition (as well as last year's tradition). Laurent and I got out of the bed just past midnight (25th December morning), opened all the presents, then back to bed.

A remarkable shot of the Martin Place tree! Not a single soul around except you Ant! Where else in the world's major cities could that happen?

I never got back from the Haberfield dinner until 00:45 Chickmas Morning! Not even 20c at 10:45, we might get snow at this rate....LOL!!
I am thinking of DON freezing his nuts off in Boston!!

Ya know... it was kinda warm tonight in Connecticut. And I wanted to get kicked out of a Christmas party earlier, but oh well. At least they gave me $10 bucks.

I did the setting of the Christmas tree first. Then Laurent insisted me to get in for the shot. (Hence I still still take the credit for the Christmas tree part, and Laurent gets the blame for the unfocused me.) It was midnight.
The tradition is... you open your presents after getting up in the morning of the Christmas Day. In order to be able to able to open the presents at the earliest possible, I went to bed before midnight, and got out of bed right after midnight. Hence I don't break the tradition.

Rev. Dr. Wu Yi, it's been (seasonally) warm these past two days. All of the snow we received last week melted and re-froze into ice; now it's finally been melting and draining away. It's supposed to be 4C today, so hopefully it will keep on melting.
I've wanted to go down the street to the store for awhile now, they were having a big sale on fluorescent lightbulbs (3 for $3.99), but the sidewalks have been too icy to get there and back in one piece.
It looks like Antony and Laurent shared more gifts than my family (three people) did.
