free service from government
There's a great news for shoppers or those who enjoy window shopping (like the poor Antony).
Starting yesterday, the NSW Government is providing free Sydney CBD Shuttle Bus, route number 555. Completely free of charges for Sydneysiders and shoppers. The service runs every 10 minutes from Central Station to Circular Quay and back, via Elizabeth and George streets (both ways). The service runs 9.30am to 3.30pm weekdays, and 9.30am to 6pm during weekends. And during the most important late night shopping (Thursdays), it runs until 9pm.
A good service to boost up shoppers to go around Sydney CBD? According to 7News, this service will cost the government $3M a year.
You can download the route map here.
