Prison Break returns tonight

The exciting season 4 of Prison Break returns tonight at 10.30pm on Channel Seven.
Season three of Prison Break was cut short due to the strike of Writers Guild of America. Originally planned for 22 episodes, it was down to 13 episodes. Channel 7 aired episodes 9 to 13 (of season 3) in July this year.
At the end of season 3, both Michael Schofield (Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln Borrows (Dominic Purcell) were out of Sona (prison). Sucre however went into the prison and he found that T-Bag is the new boss inside. Meanwhile Whistler and Mahone are being recruited by the Company.
Tonight on Prison Break: (season 4 episode 1, Syclla)
Michael and Lincoln receive an offer from Homeland Security that they cannot refuse; Mahone suffers a devastating loss; and T-Bag is deserted during his flight to freedom.
Prison Break starts tonight on Channel Seven at 10.30pm after the movie length of Heroes.

Previously on Prison Break (season 3 episode 12, Hell or High Water
),
Lechero, T-Bag, and Bellick make a run for it; but Michael holds Whistler and McGrady back. The lights pop back on after just fifteen seconds; this was all part of Michael's plan. Lechero still tries to run for freedom, and is shot in the belly. The trio is forced to show Generals Sojo and Mestas the tunnel. As they're about to re-enter the tunnel via Lechero's room, Michael leads Whistler and McGrady out to No Man's Land... and then freedom. They're soon pursued by Sojo and a group of soldiers. Linc unsuccessfully tries to contact Sucre. When he hangs up he gets a call from a stressed and nervous Alphonso Gallego: McGrady's father. Alphonso will be driving the getaway car. Linc retrieves his car, but runs into the passengers from the bus he hijacked. He is recognized, and the cops begin pursuing him. He quickly ditches them.
As they run Whistler tears his ankle. They and Linc arrive at the beach at the same time. As Linc digs for the scuba gear, Whistler warns that the Company will not let this swap happen: they're all dead once he's in their custody. He suggests he contact them, and say he'll turn himself in once LJ is in Linc's custody. Linc doesn't trust him. They're ready to dive. McGrady is terrified of swimming; Michael says to hold on to him, and they'll share oxygen. Susan calls: they'll meet in Panama in 20 minutes. Whistler suddenly discovers that he's lost the bird book. Too bad: it's time to go. They dive just in time as the soldiers reach the beach. At Sona, Bellick, Lechero, and T-Bag are beaten severely by Menjavar as the guards try to get Michael's location out of them.
The escapees swim to a weather buoy, but Sucre's not there with the boat. He's still handcuffed in the General's office in Sona. The prison is locked down, and he's not going anywhere until this is over. They're stranded in open water in the middle of the ocean. Alphonso finds that the boat Sucre reserved is still docked. Sojo realizes where the escapees must be, and calls the Coast Guard. Elsewhere Susan, with LJ and Sofia tied up, begins to lose patience. Whistler begins to cramp. A boat approaches: it's Alphonso, come to rescue them. He brings them back to land. He has Linc's car, which contains changes of clothes for everyone. Alphonso and McGrady, reunited at last, walk off together. The rest take off in the car.
As T-Bag is lead to the General's office, he sees Whistler's bird book lying under a truck in No Man's Land. He pretends to stumble so he can surreptitiously pocket it. It turns out that Susan has a tracking device, and knows the escapees aren't in Panama City. Sedans give chase. The tracking device is in the stopwatch Susan gave Whistler. They throw it out, and then hole up in the shack Linc rented (which is reinforced). Bullets fly as they hide within. Susan arrives at the shack to find nobody there: there's just a recording of gunshots. The escapees are miles away in Linc's car, where Whistler is again begging them not to turn him over. Michael and Linc won't listen.
General Mestas yells at Rafael to get Sucre out of there. If he's not wanted for murder, the General doesn't want him around. As Sucre is getting his personal effects, T-Bag is taken in to be tortured for Michael's location. T-Bag swears he knows nothing, but sells out Sucre. Sucre denies everything, but the General soon finds out his true identity as one of the Fox River Eight. The escapees reach an abandoned warehouse, where Linc plans on doing the exchange on his own terms. He calls Susan, and lets her know this in no uncertain terms. He tells her to come to the warehouse with LJ in 20 minutes.
Alphonso and McGrady find themselves trapped behind a checkpoint. Their car is sure to be searched, and McGrady arrested. What will they do? At the warehouse Mahone tries to leave. Linc, bent on revenge, draws a gun on him. Mahone says it was Linc's family or his own; what else could he do? Linc's about pull the trigger when Whistler uses this distraction to make a break for it, smashing out a window. Mahone uses that distraction to escape himself. Whistler runs for it; the injured ankle was a ruse. He steals a truck and takes off, leaving Linc and Michael in his dust. There's no Whistler to exchange, and Susan's coming. What are they going to do now?

Then on Prison Break season three final (season 3 episode 13, The Art of the Deal
),
Michael and Linc pursue Whistler. Whistler thinks he's lost them. He calls Susan to tell her to come get him, but Linc tackles him. They call Susan, and tell her to meet them in the Plaza de Francia in Panama in ten minutes. Mahone goes to a bar penniless, and starts a tab. He starts eyeing the bank across the street. Alphonso and McGrady have no way to turn around (and avoid the checkpoint). McGrady hides in a compartment behind the seat, and manages to avoid being discovered in a search.
Sucre is badly beaten, but won't give up information about Michael and the others. He is dragged off to dig his own grave; Rafael takes his cell phone, and then begins to have him buried alive. Bellick finds that without Lechero and Sammy, Sona has descended into anarchy. T-Bag insists on helping Lechero, even though it's now a liability to be seen with him. They find other prisoners looting Lechero's room; they mock him, and call him Norman. Lechero finds Sammy's gun, and orders them out. T-Bag tells Lechero that the rules have changed now that there's a new general; there's a guard who will let them buy their way out of Sona. It'll cost $50,000, and T-Bag knows somebody who can get them the money. LJ, upon learning that Whistler didn't give them the full coordinates, wonders why they didn't cut off Sofia's head. Something's not right.
Susan arrives for the exchange, LJ and Sofia in tow. She's impressed: nobody's ever escaped from Sona. She tells Michael he should work for the Company. Linc's got a gun to Whistler, but there's a Company sniper on a nearby rooftop ready to take Linc out the second the exchange goes down. Michael says this isn't the exchange point; this is just confirmation that everybody's alive. She'll get the next meeting place in five minutes. Next up is the Museum of Antiquities, where Michael picks up a replica arrowhead from the gift shop. Susan arrives to find there are metal detectors at the museum's entrance. She has to leave her gun with the Company agents before she goes in. The agents are left posted outside as she enters with LJ and Sofia. LJ begins to laugh at the thought that Susan thinks she can outsmart his uncle Michael. Susan tells Michael she'll snap LJ's neck if she doesn't walk out with Whistler. Michael slips the arrowhead into Whistler's pocket without him noticing, while telling him that nobody's going to get hurt.
Susan finally meets up with Michael, Linc, and Whistler. LJ crosses to Linc as Whistler crosses to Sofia; both pairs embrace. Susan tries to get Whistler and Sofia to move along, but Sofia asks her why she isn't asking him for the rest of the coordinates. Sofia insists on seeing them. Whistler tries to stop her questions. Susan, tired of Whistler trying to keep Sofia innocent, tells her there are no coordinates. There's a tense moment, and then Sofia walks to Linc. Susan tells Michael he'd best get a move on, but Michael knows there must be agents posted at every exit. He deliberately trips the museum alarm, locking the room down. He'll leave... with her in tow. Everyone in the museum is herded towards the front door, and searched by police as they leave. Sofia gets separated from Linc as Whistler grabs her wrist, swearing he can explain. At the door the police find the arrowhead in Whistler's pocket, though they're embarrassed when Susan points out that it's plastic. The cop, however, recognizes Whistler as an escaped criminal. Susan, with no other option, signals an agent to come help. Shots ring out; in the pandemonium Susan gets away with Whistler... and Sofia is shot.
Linc tries to tend to Sofia, but LJ convinces him to run before the cops start asking questions. Whistler also tries to get away from Susan to go help Sofia. She tells him he'll be arrested if he goes back there. He's thrown into the van as Michael grabs Linc's gun from the car. His clear shot at her is ruined when some cops fire at Susan. They miss, and Susan ducks into the car and peels away. In the car Susan is enraged to find that Whistler's book is gone. T-Bag betrays Lechero, and smothers him with a pillow. This was his plan: the money was actually a bounty from Sister Mary Francis to kill Lechero. She can only shove so much through the gates at visitation. She'll hold onto the rest for T-Bag until he gets out.
Alfonso and McGrady come to a shady-looking neighborhood in Acandi, Colombia. Behind a dingy doorway is a beautiful courtyard, where McGrady's family is waiting. The tears flow as he finally makes it home. Sucre is yanked from the grave before being buried alive; he hasn't given up anything. The General is about to give up when Sucre's cell phone rings. It's Michael. Rafael forces Sucre to try to find out where Michael is, but Sucre gets off the line quickly while also letting Michael think he's escaped. He then smashes his cell phone. Rafael says that soon Sucre's going to wish he were dead, and throws him into Sona: a prisoner.
T-Bag goes to the courtyard, and announces that Lechero is dead. He makes a speech that all cons should be equal, with no one person lording over them. T-Bag throws money into the air, saying he's giving them back what Lechero took. As Sofia is taken into the hospital, she whispers something to LJ. LJ gives Michael Sara's origami rose. He found it in the house where he and Sara were held. LJ tells Linc that Sofia said there's something under her bed at her apartment regarding Whistler. Linc says he's not interested. He wants this to be over, but it's too late: Michael has overheard.
Whistler meets Mahone at the bar. Mahone hasn't been eyeing the bank after all, but the clock; this meeting was planned. Whistler pays Mahone's tab. Mahone asks for his money, but Whistler points at Susan waiting outside. She handles the cash. Mahone's been hired by the Company for $300,000. At Sofia's apartment Michael and Linc find the mysterious case under the bed; Michael opens it with a crowbar. It contains a dossier on a man named Jonathan Lief from Scottsdale, Arizona. Michael's going to investigate, and can't be talked out of it. This is about getting back at those responsible for killing Sara. The brothers hug, and bid each other farewell. He drives off over the horizon, clutching the origami rose in one hand.
