poor little swine

A little village Uki in northern New South Wales (not far from the border between NSW and Queensland) has an interesting news.

There was a pig named Bruce, and he was loved by Caroline and neighbours. However, Bruce became “over friendly” and aggressive. Well, Caroline decided to get rid of Bruce.

Here's the news clip:
video clip (in H.264)

What a very uneducated and untamed piggy!

The treatment for pigs in remove village is very simple. Although pigs are not tied up with strings like chickens, we issue pigs warnings. Three strikes and the pig is off to become my tasty bacon.

Who can resist the delicious bacon and eggs breakfast? (BTW, we never short of eggs.)

News source: Huge pig removed after spat with woman (The Age, 23 September 2008)

Just to finished up this post with some useless knowledge:
a male pig is called a boar;
a female pig is called a sow;
a baby pig is called a piglet, a shoat, or a suckling.
and the collective noun for pigs: a litter of pigs (or a drift, drove, sounder of pigs)

Just in case Rev. Dr. Wu Yi is not aware, a group of chickens is called a brood or peep of chickens.

H.264QuickTime 7The video clip is encoded with state-of-the-art video codec H.264, which delivers stunning quality at remarkably low data rates. QuickTime Player 7 (free) is recommended for watching the video.

Updated (24 September 2008): This little piggy is saved, please refer to little piggy is saved entry.

Compared to most of the farmers in the remote village, pigs were considered the "intelligentsia". The removal of pigs and their execution was considered "genocide" by the United Nations!

Pigs are no where near "intelligentsia". Recall the famous "Three Little Pigs" store, two out of three (that is 66.7%) were stupid, didn't know the need of building a strong house.

Piggy One and Piggy Two were conned into buying substandard dwellings by a door to door salesman for a disreputable building company which later went to the wall, while the director ran off with all the money.
A typical story in the home building industry.
