How US count the medals
Well, no much news during the week except the Olympics. Weekend Sunrise is not on this morning hence no The Week It Was clip from Weekend Sunrise.
We all know that United States like to measure things in their units which is not international standards. They use Letter paper instead of A4, they use pounds instead of kilograms, ... etc. Until I saw the following clips on the news, I did not know that Americans also count/rank things differently.
There is a video clip from Seven News (Sydney) few days ago (14th August 2008). (Don: This is for you.)
Apparently most countries (including official Olympic website) rank the medal with the Gold first, just not the USA.
