Sony PSP

For some unknown reason, I bought another Sony product on the Saturday before iPhone 3G was released in Australia on 11th July. That was 5th July. In order to prevent Don from calling me rich, I decided to push back the announcement of my new gadget - Sony PSP (PlayStation Portable).

Sony PlayStation Portable

I've been deciding if I shall get a PS2 (PlayStation 2), as I could hardly find any game I like (or I can play). And PlayStation 2 are very cheap now (even cheaper with pre-owned PlayStation 2 consoles). But the question is... do I need a another gaming console connected to the TV? So I changed the decision to portable device.

Again, I need to thank Don for giving me advices on deciding between PSP and Nintendo DS. I decided to go for PSP is simply that PSP does more than Nintendo DS besides gaming. And PSP links to PS3 nicely. In fact, I bought a few PlayStation classic games through PlayStation Store (part of PlayStation Network, PSN). And one copy of the game can be played on both PS3 and PSP!

Sony PlayStation Portable

The games I bought from PlayStation Store are Crash Bandicoot and Theme Hospital. I also ordered invisibleSHIELD for the Sony PSP Slim (Full Body). Still waiting for the delivery.

(To Don: Antony is poor.)

Don, You had a Nintendo GameBoy Color, Nintendo GameBoy Advance, and a Nintendo GameBoy Advance SP. This is my first portable gaming device. Although I intend to use it for non-gaming purposes.

So, let's recap. The GBC was a birthday gift, if I remember correctly. I bought the GBA in part with the money I got when I sold the GBC, then bought the SP with the SP in part with the money I got when I sold the GBA. The SP's sale was just $45 in my pocket.

I thought you said you had one of the original Gameboy handhelds.

I borrowed the original GameBoy (black and white) for about a week. Never owned one.

After our chat this morning from Melbourne, to me in Osaka, I read your entry about iPhone purchase.
Even the idiot Pope has warned people about rampant consumerism...seems you were not listening! I agree with Don and his $27 phone! He seems to understand the value of a dollar!
