1.5 TB hard drive from Seagate

Well, you can never have too much storage. Seagate has announced the first 1.5TB desktop drive and the first 500GB notebook drive. The Barracuda 7200.11 should be pretty speedy, with four platters spinning at 7200 rpm, 3Gbit/sec SATA, 16M or 32M cache, and a sustained data rate of 120Mbyte/sec.

Last year, I bought two 500GB Seagate hard disks (combined to 1TB), now you can get a single hard drive for 1.5TB storage space. (Don, are you getting one?)

Don has been looking for a replacement HDD for his superfast 64-bit laptop. Seagate announced 500GB hard drives (2.5-inch) for notebooks. This seems to be a great solution for Don's notebook.
