Today is 8th July 2008, one month to go until Beijing Olympic; one week to go until World Youth Day to be held in Sydney; and most importantly, 3 more sleeps until iPhone 3G released in Australia and many other countries.

I don't have much to say about Beijing Olympic, except this year, it will be broadcast in high definition, and Laurent and I have a good TV for it. As for the World Youth Day? Earlier I mentioned that WYD would be worse than APEC. Back in March, remember that the Vatican imposed seven more sins on top of Ten Commandments and Seven Deadly Sins? One of the new sins is accumulating excessive wealth, and the one of the original Seven Deadly Sins is greed. The “WYD on Hyde” tend was opened few days ago selling World Youth Day merchandise, the Catholic Church is not just encouraging pilgrims to spend money, but the Cardinal also stated cashing in is not a sin. Double standards?

Optus will throw a launch party on midnight 11th July, Vodafone is also likely to hold one. It is widely reported that the iPhone 3G will be short on its first day. Well, this is nothing new for Apple products. Wish me luck for getting an iPhone 3G.

There is still no pricing information on Vodafone (Australia)'s price/plans. Vodafone New Zealand has released the plans for iPhone 3G.
