Northern Beaches faced one of the biggest king tides. Barack Obama made a history, he became Democrat's nominee for US President. Obama is the first black US Presidential candidate. Hollywood's Universal Studios had a massive fire. A number of memorial film reels and sound records are gone. Desperate Housewives' Wisteria Lane set was spared from the fire. Desperate Housewives uses the backlot at Universal Studios as one of their filming locations and survived the fire.
