Well done the justice in Mexico! A donkey is now free after serving three days in a prison for kicking and biting two men.

It is believe in many western countries, if a man hurts an animal (e.g. a dog), some sort of fine or jail term may be applied to the man, sadly not the other way round.

The donkey was freed (or perhaps bailed out) after its owner paid the fine and the hospital bill.

Well done Mexico! Animal should also be punished!

A DONKEY has been freed from a jail after three days in the can for kicking and biting two men.

Mexican TV showed showed Blacky the donkey eating from a bucket after three days in a jail that normally holds people for public drunkenness and other disturbances, the Associated Press reported.

Blacky was jailed for biting and kicking two men near a ranch outside Tuxtla Gutierrez, the capital of the southern state of Chiapas.

Officials freed the donkey after its owner paid a $US36 ($38) fine and the $US115 hospital bill for the men.

They were bitten on the chest and one suffered a broken ankle.
