Maryborough, I've been there.

Laurent and I went to Maryborough last year during the Mary Poppins week. We had great time there and we were gracefully hosted by Bob and Joyce. I'd like to thank them again for the great host.

Monique from Channel 7's Sunrise today had another trip to Maryborough, and there are some interesting clips.

Maryborough holds the Guinness World Record for the largest pub crawl. This year's pub crawl will be on (Sunday) 8th June, the Queen's Birthday long weekend, and Mary Poppins Festival will be on Sunday 6 July this year.

Here's the 7.30am video clip, featuring Mary Poppins' pram race and the time cannon.

Maryborough is a nice place to be, except two important chain stores are missing from there. Gloria Jean's Coffees and Wendy's (ice cream). Just a (relatively) short drive to Harvey Bay, you can find a Wendy's outlet there, the one that gives very generous amount of ice cream. (Wendy's outlets are franchises, some outlets charge higher and gives less.)
