Journey of Harm arrived yesterday
... and had a relay today. Welcome the Olympic torch. According to officials and the police, it was quite successful with only 7 people were arrested.
Here are some interesting parts:
Chinese marshals coordinated the pro-China crowds and they outnumbered the Tibet protesters.
And what do those taxpayer funded and trained with taxpayer's money AFP (Australian Federal Police) do? They were keen to use as much as unnecessary power given by the society with trust, but ashamed to get identified.
Please note that those AFP were not wearing their name tags. Recall from last year's APEC in Sydney, after public outraged NSW Police not wearing name tags, NSW Police Minister David Campbell promised that police will be wearing name tags in the future. Well, AFP is not part of NSW. (see this blog entry)
Also, the Olympic was surrounded by police? Shame on you AFP.
The flight that carries 2008 Olympic torch has a line "Journey of Harmony". However when the hatch opens, it becomes something quite different. This is a great example for arrogant native English speakers to make fun on non-English speakers, particularly on Asians (they don't make jokes on Europeans). Engrish.com has plenty examples. Speaking about the racist Engrish.com, if you examine the photos carefully, it is not hard to find photos showing no spelling errors or grammatic errors.

It was established by a person who had spent a number of years living in Japan (like me)pointing out how commercial Japan has problems with getting names for products etc due to their limited scripts for writing new product names in a tough marketing environment.
The site does not make malicious attacks on any nationality and was designed for "fun only". Poor English which helps in communication between people for establishing friendship and citizenship is not under attack here.
There are other sites that pillory English speakers pathetic use of their own tongue.
Lighten up, or the lemote village peopre will be offended.
