how police distribute their resource
If you are an ordinary citizen, and you caught a criminal red headed, you might have to wait 45 minutes until a police shows up (reported by Today Tonight a few years back) However, if you are a celebrity, in this case k.d. lang, you receives free escort for running late. Although escorts are usually only granted for heads of state and other dignitaries and are organised by the force's major events planning unit, they would do that for k.d. lang.
This happened on Sunday night, k.d. lang was running late for Channel Ten's Rove Live show. Police was kind enough to escort her to the studio.
Shame on you Victoria Police for wasting police resource.

As k.d.lang is the greatest living female? crooner, the Victorian Police should be applauded for coming to her assistance. Besides which, they were not out shooting innocent citizens for the time they were involved in helping her!IMHO.
