The Ten Catmandments

Ten CatmandmentsYesterday, besides the Coca-Cola showbag, I bought an interesting item - a tea towel. A “Ten Catmandments” tea towel.

Some of the interesting Catmandments:
Thou shalt never curse my name.
Thou shalt remember my food bowl and keep it bountiful.
Thou shalt labour to keep my kitty litter pure and without blemish.

In fact, I just like all ten Catmandments.

Speaking about the Ten Commandments, there are also Seven Deadly Sins. However, the Vatican has issued seven more Sins earlier this month - Environmental pollution, Genetic manipulation, Accumulating excessive wealth, Inflicting poverty, Drug trafficking and consumption, Morally debatable experiments, Violation of fundamental rights of human nature. Do we really need those additional Seven Sins?

(Photo of the Ten Catmandments follows.)

The Seven Deadly Sins are: Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, and Pride.

Back to the topic, here's the photo of the Ten Catmandments tea towel.
The Ten Catmandments

I am sure the late Tom would approve the Ten Catmandments.

The “Ten Catmandments” is the true meaning of Easter, if you are a cat lover.

The Vatican's new list of the Seven Deadly Sins are considered social sins, whereas the original Seven are considered personal. Often the difference is that personal sins are consciously performed, whereas social sins are often practiced on a communal level and therefore are considered culturally acceptable despite being sinful.

Why is it that the Vatican can speak about "sins of extreme wealth", when they are extremely rich and never use the bulk of their wealth for good works or to help the poor. It is only used to get more of the poor under Rome's yolk, so the church can count big numbers in membership and at the Vatican Bank!!
Bah Humbug at the Evil Catholic Hypocrites!!!

My version of the 10 Cat-Mandments [For the cat, of course]
1. Thou shalt not bite the hand that feeds thee.
2. Thou shalt always use thy litter box.
3. Thou shalt not scratch anywhere other than thy scratching post.
4. Thou shalt not invite thy opossum friend in through the pet door.
5. The parakeet and the goldfish are fellow pets in the household. They are not food.
6. If thou catcheth a living wild creature, it is thine, but thou must take it outside to do with it what thou willst and if thou catcheth it outdoors, it stayeth outdoors.
7. Thou shalt not walk on the dinner table, especially when the family is dining.
8. Thou shalt not jump on shelves and knock breakables onto the floor.
9. Thou shalt not scratch any human member of the household for any reason.
10. Thou shalt not wake thy humans by incessant yowling at an inhuman hour for any reason.
