my PDA, my touch

I've been playing with my new toy - iPod touch since I got it few days ago. Previously, I had an iPod Clickwheel (4th gen, mono screen), then I have an iPod shuffle. The impression of iPod touch is still amazing.

Unlike others, I've never owned a PDA. The iPod touch is doubled as a PDA for me. (To Don: I am poor, I am using the iPod touch as PDA.) I've played with my friend's PDA before, but I never be that impressed with the screen display and the input methods. The input in iPod touch is simply easy, not the fastest, but certainly very smart. The smooth auto-resizing with high-resolution display makes the device one of the top PDAs around. Of course, this is not just all, many handy features from iPhone were included in the iPod touch.

Notes, Calendar, Calculator, and a powerful Safari browser simply make the iPod touch (and iPhone) a great and powerful PDA. And just like the music and videos being easily synced with iTunes, photos, calendar events, bookmarks, ... etc are also easily synced with my Mac. (It synced with PC too.) Since I use iCal as my diary (besides the paper book version). iPod touch allows me to access it where ever I carry my iPod touch with me. (Slightly off topic: getting a .Mac account does help the syncing if you have multiple Macs.)

iPod touch does not come with GPS, which is a bit shame. However, it comes with Google Maps enabling users for find out a particular location or route.

I bought Belkin Leather Sleeve for my iPod touch. It does not look that bad in my opinion, except I can't see the engraving easily.

My MacBook Pro is scheduled to arrive today, but the update says "Potential Connection Delay". I hope it will arrive soon. I will talk more about the MacBook Pro once it arrives.

Here continueth the desperate waiting of my MacBook Pro.
