8 February, 2008it is important to keep a recordIn this days, it is very important to keep a record for your own good, and if you like me, you might want to record as much as possible. Consider the situation like that, you were arguing with someone, and later that person denied everything he/she said earlier... If you have a record, you can pretty win the case. I bought a secret weapon today: Sony IC Recorder ICD-UX70 features 1GB internal memory, digital stereo voice recording, and it is a MP3 player. Best of all, it connects to a Mac. The size and the spec seems to me is just what I need. It has a few too many buttons (compared to iPods), and the manual is sort of ridiculously lengthy (again, compared to iPod and most Apple products' printed manual). It comes with 5 manuals in 5 different languages (English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Korean, and Spanish). It also comes with one Sony alkaline AAA battery and two bonus AAA rechargeable batteries (Sony CycleEnergy). I have a feeling that I will just use regular alkalines. I've been thinking about getting a voice recorder for myself for a while. Back then when I had my iPod Click-wheel (4th gen) (blog entry), I bought a voice recorder for iPod. It works, but not excellently well. And back then I didn't need it. Last Sunday, I had a heated argument with Rhys over the menu I kindly printed for him. (He complained the menu was far to small, then starting to give me lecture. However, he couldn't even read the numbers imprinted on the credit cards.) I prompted me that it is important to keep the exact words I used and other people said. Very useful for fighting back in the future. And I was window shopping in Dick Smith Electronics today, and saw this device. How to make your records useful? I have a few hints:
