let there be light

This is a photo of my office, excuse the untidy and the messy. It was under its normal lighting (ceiling light and Klasbo lamp (on the left)):

It does not look that dark, but for the purpose of comparison, I manually adjust the camera for the setting. (This photo is underexposed, longer shutter speed or bigger aperture is required. More later.)

And Antony said, Let there be light: and there was more light.

(more photos follow.)

Antony's Office setup with Arkie Desk Light and Ambiance Spotlight
Presenting my new Arkie Desk Light (on left hand side of the desk) and Ambiance Spotlight (on the floor), both bought from Freedom.

The Arkie Desk Light features 40 LED lights (the colour is a little blue in the photo), it uses only 2 watts. Since Apple is leading the industries with A Greener Apple on reducing environmental impacts, I believe buying the LED lights is something I can do. The 2 watts Arkie Desk Light is very bright, thanks to LED technology.

The Ambiance Spotlight on the floor provides additional light for the background.

And Antony said, More light: and there was even more light.

Antony's Office setup

Presenting the floor light (and a pointing light) giving to me by Rev. Dr. Wu Yi and John. Thank you for giving me such light, making the room a whole lot brighter.

In order to compare the brightness of three conditions, the camera is set to use the same setting for all three photos. This resulted the first two photos were taken underexposed, and the third one is slightly over exposed.
The settings for all those photos are identical, ISO 100, shutter speed: 1/1.3s aperture: F8.0, white balance: auto. No flash. The blueness of the LED light could be due to the white-balance.
