Two thirds of Queensland has been officially declared as flood zone. It will take a long time to recover. Black Tuesday on stock markets, Australia markets down 7%; Dow Jones Index opened 400 points down, then Federal Reserve (US) whipped in an emergency meeting, cut official interest rates by 0.75%. Australian actor Heath Ledger was found dead in his Manhattan home, likely to be a case of overdose.
