Australian actor Heath Ledger was found dead in his Manhattan apartment today, possibly of drug overdose.
Heath Ledger, perhaps best known as Ennis Del Mar from Brokeback Mountain movie, for which he was nominated as best lead actor for his role as a gay cowboy. He recently finished filming as The Joker in Batman Begins sequel The Dark Knight.

Heath Ledger started his acting career in Channel 7's Home and Away in 1997.

This is the most over-rated story of the day. Channel 7 wasted a full 10 minutes or more on their 30 minute morning news on this non-entity. Sad he's dead but let's get over it!

Because Australian media spent a significant amount on time reporting the death of New Zealand's Sir Ed (Edmund Hillary)'s death. Media thinks that they have to have a bigger coverage on Australian actor.

This is definitely a sad story indeed. And I do think it deserved coverage. People like Britney Spears etc - those stories are over rated and dominate way too much of the media's time. But a tragedy like this, of someone who was talented and not on a path of total destruction, then yes, I think this deserves ten mins of a person's time to offer a thought or a prayer. Besides, he JUST died yesterday, I don't know how anyone could find this story to be one everyone needs to 'get over it' already ....
