Logitech Z-4i joins my Mac

Logitech Z-4i

After weeks of decision, I've decided to get the Logitech Z-4i speakers for my iMac. My 24-inch iMac is previous generation (current one features aluminum and glossy screen in thinner profile, black), it is white. Hence the choice of speakers is somehow limited. (I am not going to put a pair of black speakers next to my iMac.)

There's nothing wrong with iMac's built-in speakers. To be fair, they sound great for the built-in version. According to the specification, they are internal 24-watt digital amplifier. Just somehow, I want something a bit louder, and I don't need to control the iMac's volume for all adjustments.

(photo of the setup follows)

SoundStick IIThere are a few other options, including the famous Harman Kardon SoundSticks II, they look nice, but somehow I don't think they suit the iMac (Intel) design. The SoundStick II have been out for years, and still same expensive. (to Don: I am poor.)

Then I saw Logitech Z-4i, I like the design, and it's all I need, just a 2.1 system. (I've had Yamaha 5.1 sound system before. I sold that to Jessica.)

Here's my new setup:
Logitech Z-4i and iMac (24-inch)

I can tell the sound is definitely much better than the built-in speakers, better bass. My iMac has a better voice today.

Yes. It is a good looking (available in black and white) speaker set. The sound is also great. Unless you want 5.1 or 7.1 channel speakers, I'd suggest you go for this one.
