Personally I think it's a superficial misinterpretation. He didn't mean that blacks are inferior to whites in any way, but rather that the mind of a black person and the mind of a white person simply have two different thought processes that ultimately lead to the same conclusion.

This scientist is only stating ostensible truth; unfortunately, blacks have succeeded at what they do well, intimidating white people into silence on racial disparities by bully threats. All of the empirical data shows that blacks people have consistently lower iqs on virtually every form of iq test, college admission tests, and employment tests, and this is regardless of the income of the test takers. Of course, in the hyper pc environment that has become omnipresent in society today, nobody wants to acknowledge this. What have blacks ever contributed to the world in scientific discovery, of great art, of great mathematics breakthroughs, etc? Very very little. All of the black countries in the world are the poorest, most uneducated, most diseased, most undeveloped countries in the world, and reasons why are obvious. They stand in stark contrast to white countries. If blacks are victims, it's usually because they are victims of themselves, not of the white man. In fact, we have Affirmative Action for the sake of lowering the bar for the black man to be able to survive in the competition with the smarter whites. Whites have done more in America to promote blacks than probably blacks have even done for each other in Africa. There is convincing DNA evidence that the ancestors of whites and blacks diverged tens of thousands of years ago, leading to different brain evolution. This Nobel prize winner is simply stating that simply because both whites and blacks are humans does not mean that they necessarily have the same intellectual capacity. Our society would do well to stop dumbing ourselves down and lessening the quality of our professions for the sake of placating those less qualified, simply because we want to pretend a truth is a lie when it comes to intellectual disparities between whites and blacks, on average.
