According to an Indian environmental expert, you can save the environment by saving your poo (excrement, faeces or simply shit whichever you want to call it).

The principle is simple according to Mr Pathak. A toilet system that organically breaks down faeces into trapped bio-gas which can be used as fuel for burning or electricity. And the urine can be converted into fertiliser.

His group plans to push this poo-converting technology into the annual World Toilet Summit which will be held in New Delhi at the end of October. (source: Poo can help save the planet, News.com.au 17 Oct 2007)

My opinion? As long as the toilet smells nice (or shall I say no smell)? I don't care.
