Kitty Hawk leaves today

Thanks god, USS Kitty Hawk leaves today, so does the unnecessary over-kill clear way get lifted today.

The 5,500 sailors aboard the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk have farewelled Sydney - and millions of dollars of their money - after their five-day stay.

Well, the Australian government likes Kitty Hawk's visit... it brings money.

It is estimated the 7,000 sailors aboard the Kitty Hawk and four support ships spent $2 million a day during their visit to Sydney - or about $280 a crew member, per day.

Laurent who works in Navy Base organised a tour for us, visiting USS Cowpens and USS Kitty Hawk yesterday. Cowpens is interesting, but the size of Kitty Hawk is impressive. I took some photos from both ships.
