iTunes Plus and free music

Without a doubt, the biggest tech news of the week was the iTunes Plus, a new DRM-free, highest-quality audio format from iTunes Store. (MacCentre701 entry) Apple bashers have been long time bashing Apple's protection on music bought from iTunes Store. In comparison, music bought from iTunes Store is pretty loose protected compared to music brought from Microsoft's. Despite those Apple bashers trying to make people believe song (bought from iTunes Store) can't be burned to CD, or copy to other computers, it was completely false. You are allowed to make unlimited number of burning of the music bought from iTunes Store.

With the release of iTunes Plus, you can import the digital music to any other compatible jukebox and mp3 players. But guess what? Apple bashers can still find things to whinge.

iTunes Store is offering a world premiere music video on Kanye West's "Can't Tell Me Nothing" for free. Can't Tell Me Nothing is about getting rich and spending money. The concept for the video has a similar sweet simplicity: it's Kanye, and a girl, in the desert, with a Lamborghini. If you like Kanye West, you might want to get it.

And this week's Single of the Week (iTunes free music) is available in the new DRM-free iTunes Plus format!
