Freezing Good Friday

Good Friday today, so Happy Good Friday to all.

It was freezing this morning when I go to McDonald's for breakfast. Raining and windy.

Let's talk about Easter, and I have to point out that I am an atheist.

Thanks to Don Luchini for telling me Jesus' crime. According to Don, there were two crimes. Sanhedrin charged Jesus of blasphemy (in plain words: disrespecting the god). But Sanhedrin did not have the power, and Pilate, the Roman governor, decided blasphemy wasn't punishable under Rome. Then, Jesus said he was above the emperor. And the sentence was, well we all know, crucifixion. Without a doubt, anyone self-claim he was above the emperor/king is a crime.

If you don't believe in god, I think it is safe to say that Jesus disrespected the emperor, hence being crucified is fair. However, if you believe in god, crucifixion must be a very sad event.

I watched The Passion of the Christ last Easter. It was horrible (to see how Roman soldiers did to Jesus). And I have to say, I still did not know what Jesus do until I asked Don few days ago.

Well, enjoy hot cross buns today, and enjoy Easter eggs (and bunnies).
