The Week It Was

QuickTime: The Week It Was

Barack Obama announced that he would run for US Presidency, the first black US presidential candidate in history. Australia Prime Minister John Howard attacked him for withdrawing troops from Iraq. In politics, it was all about "guts" and "courage", this week's Riley Diary is really interesting. Also, there's a new development on Schapelle Corby's drug case, her former best friend blew the whistle.

On Monday, I was waken up at 3.45am by prank calls from some SillyDog701 members. I immediately realised it was them.

(more follows)

The first phone call, I did not make a sound, so they hung up shortly. A while later, I answered the call with ‘hello’. It said something like, ‘Hi, this is Ron Williams, just want to let you know I am going to sue you.’ (not exact words) Then hung up.

Then, in another few minutes time, the phone rang again. I logged into iChat and informed Pu7o: "do you know it's 3:49 AM here?"
He pretended he did not know first, "what do I have to do with it?"
I repeated, "do you know it's 3:49 AM here?"
I also said, "would you please be considerate?"
Finally the phone stopped ringing.

I decided to mention the situation in public.

It apparent that Don Luchini, the boy who was able to wake me up at 3.45 in the morning ran into hiding (offline) right afterwards.

They both later apologised.

Don't be lazy. Be on top of your facts. Barack is by no measure the first U.S. presidential candidate. There was Shirley Chisholm in the 70's, Jesse Jackson (twice) in the 80's-90's, Alan Keyes and Al Sharpton (lesast memorably perhaps, but the most recent before Barack) in the early 2000's. If I'm not mistaken Alan Keyes
